Finaly finished the blog for this term!!!!!!!!! I feel so relieved.... all that's left is to get a fruit and practice for the art final. Hope it turns out well.   :)

Week 6 (Form 2)

Today miss gave us a note on stippling which consists of creating tonal values (light, medium, dark) using dots. The tonal values are achieved by varying the pressure of the dots, the spaces between the dots and the number of dots in the drawing. We had to take any picture of a face and draw it then we had to use stippling on it. We had to bring back the completed drawing with the picture used to draw it for miss after our art final. She also told us that we had to finish our blogs and email it to her before SATURDAY 18TH at MIDNIGHT. I was relieved because when she told us this i had at least 2 or 3 more posts left to do. Below are the pictures of my art work starting with the picture, then the drawing, then the stippling drawing.

Week 5 (Form 2 )

Today we had to bring in our portrait drawins that we did at home. Miss gave us a note on stippling then told us that we have to hand up the portrait with the picture next tuesday when we would have exam. She told us that we had to do the drawing using stippling and that included the outline of the face and neck, the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, eyebrows etc. We had to also do the drawing according to where the darkness on the face are by darkening the areas. Miss also told us that our blogs are to be emailed to her before midnight on this Saturday. So that meant I had to finish this. I have only 1 or 2 more posts left to post for term 3 in form 2 which includes the portrait.

Week 4 (Form 2 )

Our collages were marked and i got 23/25 :D. That made up for some marks lost. But i missed a day for art and my friends told me that they got to do little improvements on their pastel drawing. I remained with my mark but it wasn't a big mood killer. My collage was a beach scenary. For next class we were to come with a drawing of a portrait of a picture and our drawing pencils. I really hope I do good on the next drawing so that way i wouldn't make low marks.

Week 3 (Form 2)

Today we handed in our collages and miss didn't like some of them although i worked hard on it. I had do over mine like some of my friends had to. The collages would then be handed up in week 4 but it wasn't that bad because i enjoyed doing it over so i could make improvements to my collage to make it look good like the ones some students had. Miss gave us a note on pastels both chalk and oil. We also started drawing our fruit with pastels and although I was prepared for class with my materials and some students were not, I had a hard time in class. My pastel drawing of the fruit did not turn out too good and I got a low mark :( .So I hope I do good in my collage to bring up my marks.

Week 2 (Form 2)

Today we learnt how to draw a fruit with drawing pencils. First we had to draw our Value Chart which shows the different tonal values from light to medium to dark. Next we used the technique wrapping to shade it to make it look 3D. Then we softened the drawing by erasing the outlines of the fruit to show where light was coming from. Miss marked our drawings and I got 23/25 which made me very happy :D. Then miss called me back and my mark was reduced to 18/25. She changed the marking scheme so that's how i lost marks. For the next class we had to bring pastels and a fruit for another still life drawing.

Week 1 Of Term 3 In Form2

The term began and we were given our scheme of work. Miss gave us an assignment of a collage of a landscape due for the next 2 weeks which surprised me. We were also given a note on a collage. We were told at the end of class to bring a fruit and our drawing pencils and sketch pad paper for next class. The next topic would be the still life drawing of a fruit. I decided to bring a peeled orange to draw.
